Boskovic steers Eczacibasi to 3-0 win over Altay

 

Boskovic had a prolific scoring day for Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul with 19 points against Altay Volleyball Club in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship

Shaoxing, China, December 4, 2018 – FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship MVP Tijana Boskovic produced an outstanding performance embellished by 19 points to help Turkey’s Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul to a 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-15) win over Kazakhstan’s Altay Volleyball Club in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship on Tuesday.

Boskovic had a solid stint from the attack line scoring 18 points and adding an ace to complete her strong performance against newcomers Altay. Kim Yeon Koung and Jordan Larson also delivered a double-digit performance, scoring 16 and 14 points, respectively.

Natalya Mammadova hit the double-digit mark with 10 points to lead all Altay scorers.


Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul played in full force against Altay Volleyball Club.

Marco Aurelio Motta fielded in his top players Boskovic, Kim and Larson from start to finish, making it tough for their rivals to execute their defence. Boskovic and Kim relentlessly scored from their strong swings, while the rest of the Eczacibasi crew also contributed well when they got the opportunity to score.

Eczacibasi dominated with 25-10 and 25-11 victories in the first two frames, then Altay showed better energy in the third set but the former’s dominance still prevailed to end the match at 25-15.
