The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in Shaoxing, China will take place from December 4 to 9
Shaoxing, China, November 8, 2018 – China’s volleyball community is counting down the days to the Shaoxing 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship when the leading eight women’s volleyball teams compete to see who will succeed Vakifbank Istanbul as the best women’s team on the planet.
The organisers presented the eight teams that will play in Shaoxing, a city of 4.3 million located 200-kilometres south of Shanghai, at a press conference held on Thursday. The
match schedule was also confirmed.

Defending champions Vakifbank Istanbul lead the way after they qualified by winning the 2018 CEV Champions League. They are sure to be popular with the Shaoxing crowd as China’s star hitter Zhu Ting is among their ranks.
They are one of two Turkish teams that will compete in the competition that runs from December 4-9, along with Eczacibasi VitrA.

China are represented by Zhejiang VC, and there are also two teams from Brazil, Minas Tenis Club and Praia Clube. Asian champions Supreme Chonburi from Thailand, French outfit Volero Le Cannet and Altay VC of Kazakhstan complete the eight teams that will compete at the Shaoxing Olympic Sports Center.
“We will cherish this rare opportunity of communication and learning,” Zhejiang coach Li Hua said. “We are determined to train our team and boost our morale. Of course, we must actively prepare for the match and do our best to produce an outstanding performance in front of our hometown crowd.”
