Shaoxing, China, December 4, 2018 - Hosts Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club will take on Minas Tenis Clube of Brazil on the second day of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.
Head-to-Head· Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club and Minas Tenis Clube meet for the first time at the Club World Championship as both teams participate for the first time.
· This is the second Club World Championship meeting between a Chinese and Brazilian team. Osasco defeated Bohai Bank Tianjin 3-0 in the 2012 group stage.
Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club· Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club lost 3-0 against defending champions Vakifbank on their Club World Championship debut on Tuesday.
· No team has won the Club World Championship after a 3-0 defeat in their opening match.
· Kaiyi Ren scored eight points in Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club's opening match, at least three more than any other teammate.
Minas Tenis Clube· Tournament debutants Minas Tenis Clube kicked off their 2018 Club World Championship campaign with a 3-2 win over Volero Le Cannet on Tuesday.
· The last team from Brazil to win their first two Club World Championship matches was Leites Nestlé/Jundiai in 1994. They went on to win the title that year.
· In last year's edition only one match needed a fifth set, the third-place decider between Voléro Zürich and Eczacibasi VitrA which Voléro won 3-2.
· Caroline Gattaz scored a team-high 19 points in Minas Tenis Clube's opening win: 14 spikes and five blocks.
