Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul captain Jordan Larson in action against Praia Clube in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship
Shaoxing, China, December 7, 2018 – Jordan Larson led the charge in Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul’s 3-1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-11, 25-21) triumph against Praia Clube in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship on Friday.
The Eczacibasi captain tallied 18 spikes, three blocks and two service aces to lead all scorers in the thrilling encounter. Tijana Boskovic who had a slow start finished with 17 point.
Nicole Fawcett and Ana Carolina Da Silva led Praia Clube, scoring 10 points each.

Fawcett and Carol helped Praia Clube and teamed-up to tie the score at 20-all. A long trade of points followed, until Michelle Pavao’s left flank spike and Boskovic’s service blunder closed the set in favour of Praia Clube 27-25.
Praia Clube led 8-4 at the start of the second set by employing tough blocks on Boskovic, who missed on several attempts. However, the Serbian lefty found her scoring rhythm and helped Larson on offence. After Kim’s drop shot that forced a deadlock at 21-all, Eczacibasi had four unanswered points that levelled the match at 1-1.
Larson and Boskovic picked up where they left off in the third set and exploited holes in the Praia Clube defence. The Brazilian club struggled with their service errors, while the Turkish club had all hitters scoring from all angles. Another service error by Praia Clube gave the set to Eczacibasi 25-11.
Both sides traded points in the fourth set until the score reached a deadlock at 13-all. Eczacibasi had six unanswered points after that to lead 19-13. Praia Clube staged a late run before conceding at 25-21.
