Shaoxing, China, December 3, 2018 - Brazilians Minas Clube get their FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship campaign underway on Tuesday against Volero Le Cannet of France.
Head-to-Head· Minas Tenis Clube and Volero Le Cannet meet for the first time at the Club World Championship as both teams make their debut in the competition.
· A Brazilian and French team meet for the first time at the Club World Championship.
Minas Tenis Clube· Minas Tenis Clube are making their debut at the Club World Championship.
· This year, Minas Tenis Clube and Praia Clube are the eighth and ninth Brazilian team to appear in the competition. No other country has had more than seven teams make an appearance at the Club World Championship (7 by Italy).
· All previous seven teams from Brazil have finished on the podium at least once at the Club World Championship.
· Minas Tenis Clube qualified for the Club World Championship as the winners of the 2018 South American club championship. It was their first title in the competition.
· The last time Minas Tenis Clube won the national title in Brazil was in 2001/02.
Volero Le Cannet· Volero Le Cannet are making their debut at the Club World Championship.
· Le Cannet are the first French team to participate in the competition, on either the men's or women's side.
· Volero Le Cannet is a 2018 merger between Le Cannet Volleyball and Volero Zürich.
· Volero Zürich participated at the Club World Championship in the previous five seasons. They finished third in 2015 and 2017.
