Shaoxing, China, December 7, 2018 – Praia Clube fell to Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul on the third day of pool play at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.

Praia Clube coach Paulo Barros Junior: “It was an important match for us. We started nervous, but we changed the tempo in the first set and that was good. We had a close game in the second and then we played a bad third set. We tried to recover in the fourth but we were not able to finish it well.

Praia Clube captain Fabiana Claudino: “The best part of the match was on the first set, when we recovered. We had an opportunity to use all the players in this match, which will help us prepare for the semifinals. It’s important for us that all our players are playing at the same level.”

Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul coach Marco Aurelio Motta: “We played a regular match except the second part of the first set when we lost control of it. We did not have a spectacular performance but we played okay after that.”

Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul captain Jordan Larson
: “We came out strong to start the match. In the first set we let the lead slip away, but I am very proud of my team for continuing to fight and push through the match. I am excited for the semifinals tomorrow.”
