Head-to-Head· Supreme Chonburi and Eczacibasi Vitra Istanbul meet for the first time at the Club World Championship.
· Eczacibasi play Thai opposition for the first time at the Club World Championship.
· This is the third Club World Championship meeting between a Thai and Turkish team. Fenerbahçe defeated Chang Bangkok 3-0 in 2010 (group) and Vakifbank Istanbul beat Bangkok Glass 3-0 in 2016 (group).
Supreme Chonburi· Tournament debutants Supreme Chonburi started their 2018 Club World Championship campaign with a straight-sets defeat against Praia Clube.
· No team has ever won the Club World Championship after a 3-0 defeat in their opening match.
· Pleumjit Thinkaow scored a team-high 12 points in Supreme Chonburi's opening defeat, including 10 spikes.
Eczacibasi VitrA· Two-time champions Eczacibasi VitrA won their opening match 3-0 against Altay Volleyball Club on Tuesday.
· Eczacibasi VitrA can win their first two matches of a Club World Championship campaign for the second time, after their 2016 winning campaign.
· Tijana Boškovic scored a match-high 19 points in Eczacibasi VitrA's opening victory, including 18 spikes.
· Boškovic has now been Eczacibasi VitrA's top scorer in each of their last six Club World Championship matches (1 in 2018 and all 5 in 2017).
