Supreme Chonburi meet Altay Volleyball Club in Pool B

 

Shaoxing, China, December 5, 2018 - Supreme Chonburi and Altay Volleyball Club complete their runs in FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship Pool B when the two teams meet on Friday.

Head-to-Head
·    Supreme Chonburi and Altay Volleyball Club meet for the first time at the Club World Championship as both teams participate for the first time.
·    This is the first Club World Championship meeting between a Thai and Kazakh team.
·    Both sides have yet to claim their first set at the Club World Championship. Supreme Chonburi (95) have won 12 points more than Altay Volleyball Club (83).

Supreme Chonburi
·    Tournament debutants Supreme Chonburi started their 2018 Club World Championship campaign with straight-set defeats against Praia Clube and Eczacibasi VitrA. Supreme Chonburi are no longer able to qualify for the semifinals.
·    Coming into the 2018 Club World Championship, only Posta in 1991, Bangkok Glass in 2016 and NEC Red Rockets in 2017 recorded three straight-set defeats in their first three matches on their competition debut.
·    Wipawee Srithong (11) was the only player to reach double figures in points against Eczacibasi VitrA, equalling Pleumjit Thinkaow (17) as Supreme Chonburi's top scorer at the 2018 Club World Championship.

Altay Volleyball Club
·    Altay Volleyball Club have lost their opening two matches both by a 3-0 scoreline, against Eczacibasi VitrA on Tuesday and versus Praia Clube on Wednesday.
·    Coming into the 2018 Club World Championship, only Posta in 1991, Bangkok Glass in 2016 and NEC Red Rockets in 2017 recorded three straight-set defeats in their first three matches on their competition debut.
·    Natalya Mammadova (20) is Altay Volleyball Club's top scorer at the 2018 Club World Championship. She scored exactly 10 points in both matches.
