Wang Hebin: “We do not have a deep bench”

Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club coach Wang Hebin cheers for his team against Volero Le Cannet in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship

Shaoxing, China, December 7, 2018 – Zhejiang Women’s Volleyball Club eluded Volero Le Cannet in a thrilling five-set encounter in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship on Friday.

Zhejiang Women’s Volleyball Club coach Wang Hebin
: “It was a really tough game. There’s a big gap between my team and Volero Le Cannet in terms of strength. I do not think we have that cohesiveness yet, but it is our duty to always do our best. All the players did a good job today.

“We do not have a deep bench, but there are also good things in this team, like Liu Yanhan who did a great job in crucial situations.”

Zhejiang Women’s Volleyball Club player Liu Yanhan: “It was not easy to win this game. We supported each other and tried our best to follow the instructions of our coach. In the end we won the game and we are so happy for this.”

Volero Le Cannet captain Laura Unternahrer
: “It’s frustrating that we could not come up with a win against a team that we had a chance to beat. I hope we can play better tomorrow and win at least a game.

“It’s heartbreaking to give everything and in the end we lose by two points, but this is sport and it happens, so we just have to think about the match tomorrow and give our best.”
