Zhejiang meet Supreme for the first time

 

Shaoxing, China, December 9, 2018 - Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club and Supreme Chonburi meet for the first time in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.

Head-to-Head
• Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club and Supreme Chonburi meet for the first time at the club world championship.
• This is also the first meeting between a Chinese and Thai team at the club world championship.

Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club
• Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club have recorded one win at the club world championships, a 3-2 victory against Volero Le Cannet.
• They can become the second team from China to win multiple matches at the club world championships, after Guangdong Evergrande (2).
• Zhejiang have failed to win the opening set in all four of their matches at the club world championship.
• Yanhan Liu won the most points for Zhejiang in their last three fixtures: 11 v Minas Tenis Clube, 34 v Volero Le Cannet and 21 v Altay Volleyball Club.
• Hanyu Yang has scored 16 points from stuff blocks, at least seven more than any of her teammates.

Supreme Chonburi
• Supreme Chonburi have recorded one win at the club world championships, a 3-1 victory against Altay Volleyball Club.
• They can become the first team from Thailand to win multiple matches at the club world championships.
• Pleumjit Thinkaow won 17 points in Supreme Chonburi's last match, against Volero Le Cannet. Thinkaow now leads her team in terms of scoring, on 52 points.
• Thinkaow and Wipawee Srithong both finished as top scorer in two of Chonburi's four matches at this tournament.
