Zhu Ting scored 23 points to lead VakifBank Istanbul to its second win in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship

Shaoxing, China, December 5, 2018 – Zhu Ting recorded 23 points to power VakifBank Istanbul’s second victory in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-17) win over Volero Le Cannet on Wednesday.

Zhu hammered 20 spikes and made three blocks for a strong outing on the second day of competition. The Chinese superstar had help from youngster Ebrar Karakurt and Kelsey Robinson who finished with 16 points and 12 points, respectively.

Ana Bjelica led all Volero Le Cannet scorers with 15 points, while captain Laura Unternahrer nicked eight markers from six attacks and two blocks.

A lot of intensity on the faces of the VakifBank Istanbul in their match against Volero Le Cannet at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship.

Zhu commanded VakifBank’s offence with her towering spikes against the Volero blockers. As Zhu went on that unstoppable scoring spree, Karakurt joined in, making it more difficult for Volero to execute their defence.

Bjelica tried to keep the Volero offence going, but Zhu and Karakurt’s scoring flair sparked a bigger run that secured the match in favour of the Turkish club.
