Founded in 1958 and competiting in the China Volleyball League since its inception in 1996-97, Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club will be making their world debut this year in the 2018 FIVB Club World Championship as hosts of the competition.
The club is based in Jiashan County, in the coastal Province of Zhejiang in eastern China.
The club were crowned once China champions, winning the League title in 2014. They have been runners-up on two other occasions (in 1999 and 2017), as well as bronze medallists four times. In the latest season they finished 6th.
In their only appearance in the Asian Club Championship, Zheijiang Women's Volleyball Club won the bronze medal in 2015, after beating Taiwan Power 3-1 in the third-place playoff.
